Like Tiny Tina's Wonderlands Shift codes, Borderlands 3's Shift rewards revolve around different types of key, which are used at a chest in Sanctuary to unlock shiny new guns. It's quite a bit like loot box systems from other games, except these are free. The main catch is that a good number of these Shift codes expire, and sometimes pretty quick. That's why it's handy to keep a guide like this bookmarked. We're keeping a living log of every Shift code as it comes in, as well as its reported expiration, and the occasional permanent code. There's usually at least a few codes going around that'll work.

Borderlands 3 Shift codes usually arrive nowadays in the form of multi-use codes that can be redeemed for Borderlands 2, Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, Borderlands 3, and Tiny Tina's Wonderlands. I redeemed a whole bunch of working shift codes by registering on the gearboxsoftware website. I should have more than 100 golden keys by now for golden chest in the Borderlands 2. Some redemptions are shown below.

You can only redeem the codes in-game if both accounts are linked.I did find an entry on the official 2K support that explains how to link the PSN account to the SHIFT account for Tiny Tina's Wonderland and I assume that it works the same way for Borderlands 2.

In the past Borderlands 2 had issues with SHIFT codes on PS3 consoles when you linked the accounts via the website. If that still happens for you on the PS5 the solution was in the past to delete the existing link and to re-link the accounts, but this time you start the process from the PS5 and not the website.

Gearbox Software CEO Randy Pitchford usually kicks off the weekends by releasing a new Borderlands 3 shift code so fans can get their hands on a free Golden Key, and this weekend is no different. Pitchford has tweeted out a new Borderlands 3 shift code, with fans having less than 24 hours to redeem it.

The new Borderlands 3 shift code expires on Saturday, December 7 at 10am CST. It will likely be replaced by a new Borderlands 3 shift code shortly after it expires, so fans who happen to miss out on redeeming this code shouldn't worry. Like all Borderlands 3 shift codes, fans of the looter-shooter have a few different ways that they can redeem it. They can redeem it through the Gearbox Software website, in-game, or through the Borderlands website. The latter method of redeeming Borderlands 3 shift codes was only made available to fans just recently, but it should make the process of redeeming shift codes a little more convenient.

After redeeming a Borderlands 3 shift code, players will be sent a Golden Key to their in-game mailbox. Upon retrieving the Golden Key from their Borderlands 3 mailbox, players can then use it on the chest aboard Sanctuary III for some free loot.
