I have been trying to sort this for sometime and its midnight. Sorry for the hasty share.
I have tried to stick to the default install guide as much as I can tell but something is amiss. I have made 0 other changes to anything within the container and the vm hosting docker. Alpine. Docker, docker-compose, openrc, nano, vim and their required packages, nothing else. Any ideas?

Hi Ian,

Looks to be related to the privileges of the user Killbill. Can you connect directly to the database ( using the same username/password ) through some client like MySQL Workbench.

Regards
Karan

It has been scrapped and rebuilt following the guide, just so I know where the failure on my part might have occurred...what would cause that? I have not accessed MySQL workbench before, but I will figure it out.
Full transparency - this is my first dive in to containers. I have spent some time reviewing the setup portion but did not expect to be troubleshooting so soon.
None the less, I chose the harder path and I will learn from it.

Thank you,
Ian

Thank you for your assistance but I have scrapped the container installation. I am attempting the tomcat install since the image clearly is not aligned with the getting started documentation.
