Changing amount (based on usage) of an Plan ID/Product.

Hi,

I have a product that does not have a fixed amount but is based on usage over a period.

For example the charge of the number of calls made by a DID, if somebody made 1 call the charge is 0.10, if made 2 calls then 0.20 and so on.

The actual amount I have on another system (the system that rates the calls) so before Kill Bill would create the (recurring) invoice is it able to fetch the call charge amount and insert/change it in the invoice and then create?

For example attached invoice in this invoice shows MYR15 but before the next invoice is created it will fetch/check the amount and let's say it's MYR12 it will update to MYR12.

Hi Frank,

What does the MYR15 in this invoice represent? Have you set a recurring cost of MYR15? If yes, then you could set it at some minimum threshold value, like MYR10 for example ( or any average value of your invoices ) and anything used above this can be added to the invoice as additional items. You could look into our invoice plugin here for this purpose. 

You could look into setting up usage based catalog and usage based billing, where you will need to record the usage events and invoices are generated based on them. You can read more about usage based here as well as here.

Thanks for your feedback and links, I will check them out.

As for the MYR15, that item actually does not really have any fixed cost not even a minimum value, that billing amount is always based on usage and it could even be that the usage is MYR 0.00
