Hello Kill Bill Team,

Dear Kill Bill Team,

I hope this message finds you well.

We have recently started using Kill Bill for our billing use case and have found it to be an excellent solution. As we progressed, we encountered a requirement where we needed to bill every usage. To address this, we developed a plugin that provides the following functionalities:

  1. Keeps a dump of raw usage and aggregates it: This ensures that all usage data is meticulously recorded and aggregated efficiently.
  2. Pushes data and generates invoices: This allows for seamless invoice generation based on the aggregated usage data.
  3. Backfills charges based on invoice generation: This feature ensures that any charges are appropriately backfilled based on the invoice generation process.

We believe that this plugin could be of benefit to the Kill Bill community. As such, we would like to contribute this plugin to the Kill Bill project.

Please let us know if we should follow any specific guidelines or requirements.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Best regards,
Abhinav Mani

Hi Abhinav,

Awesome to see Cashfree Payments being so active in the Kill Bill community!

Kill Bill plugins can be developed and made open-source independently, without having for the code to be "merged" into any centralized repository. If you publish pre-built JARs somewhere (file, Sonatype, GitHub packages, ...), these can be consumed directly by KPM by anyone.

If your company would be interested in describing these plugins and your architecture in more detail to the greater community, we'd be happy to feature you on our blog! Just reach out to me directly.

Cheers,

Hi Abhinav,

I would be keen to understand more about this usage module. Do you have any further documentation that we could look at?
