Is it possible to by pass apache shiro and the db for role based access.
Receive the user details and roles etc from an access token from a SSO provider

Hi Steve,

Yes, you can integrate Kill Bill with services like LDAP or Okta. See http://docs.killbill.io/latest/user_management.html.

Any detailed documentation, on okta? we already have an sso solution for our product and would like to emulate integration with okta.

an SAML2.0 plugin probably?

Note that support through plugins isn't possible for RBAC - you would need to fork Kill Bill to add support for your custom SSO.
