Hierarchical Accounts

Hi,

A few questions regarding the hierarchical accounts:

1. Is there an order when creating a child or parent account? Should a parent account be created first before the child account or the other way around?

2. I've seen that there's an API to transfer a given child credit to the parent level. Can we perform this manually? Or is there any criteria or condition that should be met to perform this function or can this be triggered by certain condition(un-parenting)?

Hello,

For 1: the parent account needs to be created before the child account.  While creating a child account, you need to specify the parent account id as explained in the account creation slate docs. 

For 2: Yes, you can invoke the transfer credit API method manually. It is NOT automatically triggered when the child account is unlinked from the parent account.
