Hi
I have a custom payment gateway based on mobile operator billing. Merchants use this gateway for one time transactions. Now I wanted to introduce killbill as a subscription engine for which I am using killbill client from my system to forward subscription request of a user to killbill server. My use case is first time subscription buy should be on our gateway as user authorization is required and based on the success of payment request for subscription should be delegate to killbill and later on during auto renew killbill should use custom plugin for payment.
Now I see payment also at subscription creation though I have already charged it and then triggered the subscription. I am not able to relate payment id of the invoice payment to my payment system's transaction id. Could you please guide me how I should design it.

regards,
Nitin

Instead of charging for the subscription during the authorization process, could you simply save the credit card details (and maybe just charge a $1 verification fee you later on refund/don't capture)?

Its not a credit card payment gateway but mobile service provider's payment gateway and every service provider like vodaphone has its own guidelines in which user has to buy subscription using its 3g/GPRS network and authenticate using an top sent to mobile number.

Could the authorization process simply put credits on the account (not tied to a particular subscription)? When the first invoice is issued, it would consume these credits automatically before attempting a payment on the remaining balance (if any).
