Setting Up Kill Bill with Eclipse

Hello,

I am fairly new to Eclipse maven projects, and was hoping if there was an explanation as to how I can set up Kill Bill with Eclipse. I have followed the link: Kill Bill development , but it is no longer supported. Any direction on this? Thank you

Good morning,

When importing the existing maven project and setting the lifecycle mappings with the xml document "lifecycle-mapping-metadata.xml", the "killbill-profiles" folder maintains build errors. All the other errors seem to have resolved except for those related to this folder. Any recommendations?

Could you try updating the schema location and xsd version in the profiles/killbill/src/main/webapp/WEB-INF/web.xml  file to 3.0? So, you would need to make the following change:

<web-app xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns="http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/javaee" xsi:schemaLocation="http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/javaee http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/javaee/web-app_3_0.xsd" version="3.0">

Would appreciate if you could let us know how it goes, if it does work for you, we may need to fix this in the Kill Bill code base.

Unfortunately, I am not able to reproduce this issue, so would request you to try a couple of options based on my research:

1. Change java.sun.com to JAVA.SUN.COM as specified at https://jayfreemandev.wordpress.com/2021/05/13/web-xml-error-fix-web-app-filter-name-uniqueness/

2. Add semi-colon between http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/javaee and http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/javaee/web-app_3_0.xsd as specified at https://stackoverflow.com/questions/13437569/what-does-this-web-xml-error-mean
