Dear friends from Killarney and outside Killarney:)

I am glad that Aldona started this thread. That's absolutely true that we need to more open up and share more information about what's going on in killarney.

It's a great pleasure to see the activity grows immensely here!

First I would like to thank Bozenka and all involved for very well propagated public lecture of Ewa Kazmierczak in Malton hotel where our new Killarney key center was first time publicly annonced (with riverlodge people agreement). Ewa has really sown some seeds of inspiration there as next thursday 6 new people appeared on meditation! And mostly Irish.. :) And what's even better the new people appeared again and again in following weeks in moreless same number... Seems Irish knows the best what works with Irish... :) So thumbs up Con, Barry, Reidun and all key center supporters for great job done!!!

I see this is as a great achievement when Killarney sangha put hands together again with great result! Hurray!!!
I think it is good start for the process of reunion of 2 separated groups in Killarney that remained here after last year's elections with no winners.

Now it is time to try to settle things about the 2 centers we have in Killarney. As Caty suggested we should KEEP BOTH places and focus our activities within the week mainly in new key center and during the weekends meet and meditate together in Riverlodge. She also added that we should introduce new people to Riverlodge rather little later, after some acclimatization time in new center, respecting Irish reserved attitude to private premises.

Ewa Kazmierczak, the only travelling teacher who visited and felt the vibe of our both centers on her own skin also advised to keep the activity in both centers and pointed out, "without old center wouldn't be a new one." And we should respect it and use the meditation energy and blessing accumulated there through the years.

This is what Ewa wrote us later after thanking her for great lecture in Malton:
"It is all your success and a bit of inspiration on the top from my side! Enjoy the centre and Irish friends! Hope to see you All soon! Xxx ewa"

OK, now I think would be best to make meeting of all Killarney sangha and talk about several topics:
- MONEY - new key center donations - I believe more people would like to join now, also Riverlodge have accumulated some money from member fees and courses so we should make some decisions about it
- LIBRARY and DHARMA SHOP - please dont order any new books for key center, first have a look what we have in riverlodge
- MEDITATION DAYS- I think key center should have maybe more than 1 meditation a week, what do you think? also there's a long uninterrupted tradition of Sunday morning meditations - 10am at riverlodge, everybody welcome...
- KILLARNEY MAILING LIST - again why not to use what we already have?
- KILLARNEY WEB SITE - any suggestions welcome - talk to Juraj he's the responsible person ;)

So please think about this topics in advance to come with some constructive ideas.

I would be glad if we meet ASAP, any chance to mee this week:
- on Thursday in new center after meditation or
- on Friday in Riverlodge after meditation...
- also on Saturday in Riverlodge is common ngondro practise planned with Peter's 40 birthday party in the evening... so...

Please give some feedback what day suits you most.

best wishes to you all ;)

Juraj

Dear Killarney Key Center Friends

Ania, Lonia, Basia, Damian and Con,

Is it possible for you to share with all Killarney and outsiders:) buddist people what is going on in Key Center.Which days are meditation (as far as I know there is only one official meditation day and some non official), what are your activity in Key Center (e.g if you are going to buy something or have 10 mintutes lectures, or who can contribute and the same time be able to make decitions about key center etc).

There are many people in Killarney and outside the town who wants to take a part of Key Center life but there are no information about it.

Many returns

Dear friends in Killarney

Your emails about the key centre in Killarney and your efforts to work everything out are very inspiring. Please let us know if we can help, if you need any information or anything else.
Please keep it up and don't loose your enthusiasm even if things aren't so straight forward. If Dublin could do it, anybody can do it ;-)

Hugs
Asia

Dear Friends,

It is great that we can share information with each other, however it is our experience that our mailing lists and other public forums are not the place for discussions such as this as things can sometimes become confused and lead to disharmony and upset. Therefore I would like to ask you all to please conduct this discussion in private and in person amongst yourself and that as an all Ireland sangha we can come together and help clarify the way you should function in Killarney based on the progress and development we made in Dublin where there was a very similar situation to your own.

I would urge you all now to take on board your own experiences and to use them wisely for the benefit of all in the Kilarney region, and to come together and put all of your energy into making the key centre a place where all of Lama Oles students, both old and new, foreign and domestic, are happy to practice, and never forget that in everything you do say and think you represent the dharma, this is a precious gift and this really is the best thing you can possibly do for beings.

Very best wishes to you all for this exciting fresh start, may the Dharma and the Shanga grow and develop strongly and united in the west.

Hi Friends

In the DWB Centre, IN Killarney, we don’t discuss – we just meditate and eat together, following Lama Olé advice.

And we are going to do this, until he will give different advice.

Best wishes

Killarney Team

Thanks Asia, it would be great how to lead key centre and how to avoid mistakes.

Con, with all due respect, it seems like you don't want to solve the issues:
- membership fees
- dharma shop & library
- sponsoring of rent
- our money, collected over seven years activities
- TT visit in December (we still don't chose a teacher)
- our Sangha's weekend activity in River Lodge, following Lama & Caty suggestion.
- what about Buddhist exhibition
even if something has already been established, it was done without sharing information.
Would not be great to meet together and talk about it and will do the minutes from this meeting and share this with others?

Sincerely
Bozena
