Dear Sir/Madam,

We are pleased to inform you that KIIT College of Engineering is organizing jointly with National Internet Exchange of India (NIXI), a two days conference on Internet Governance & Internet Security (IGIS-2015) on 30th & 31st March 2015 in the campus of KIIT Group of Colleges, Gurgaon.

With the growing popularity and use of the Internet, globally and in India particularly, Governance of Internet has increasingly become important.  The architecture, stability, security, robustness of the Internet and how the public-policy issues regarding the management of the Internet are dealt with has gained significance in recent times.  Internet Governance is emerging as a major discussion topic globally among the Governments, private sector, civil-society, academia, etc. for both the developing and developed countries.

Presently, the Internet is managed by a decentralized and international multi-stakeholder effort of interconnected groups drawn from civil society, the private sector, governments, the academia and research communities and national and international organizations. Many global level deliberations have been taking place after the Tunis Summit WSIS-2005 and it is clear that India has to play a major role in this area of global responsibility because of its larger number of users with multi-cultural and multilingual back ground. In order to maintain a good Internet ecosystem, It is important that the various stakeholders such as users, researchers, technologists, Governments, the private sector and civil society  follow  shared principles, norms, rules, decision making procedures and programmes that shape the evolution and growth trajectory for a  sustainable Internet.

Internet Security is an integral issue and a challenge which needs to be given serious consideration for a sustainable Internet space.Internet security is the embodiment of technologies, processes and practices designed to protect networks, computers, programs and data from attack, damage or unauthorized access. Ensuring internet security requires coordinated efforts throughout an information system. One of the most problematic elements of internet security is the quickly and constantly evolving nature of security risks.Governments, military, corporations, financial institutions, hospitals and other businesses collect, process and store a great deal of confidential information on computers and transmit that data across networks to other computers. With the growing volume and sophistication of cyber- attacks, serious attention is required to protect sensitive business and personal information, as well as safeguard national security.

We at KIIT College of Engineering solicit research papers, invited talks, articles on the subject of Internet Governance or Internet Security for publication in the research journal and also in the conference proceedings as suitable. You may kindly go through the Conference Brochure and inform us about your interest in submitting a paper, participation as a delegate, invitee or as a speaker so that the necessary confirmation can be processed and sent to you in this regard.

Regards
