Searching for funds to pay for Rwandan & Burundian players to 7 Hills

Hi all,

We're trying to pull together a Rwandan / Burundi team to go to 7 Hills. However, they need sponsorship support. We have enough funds to support 6 people from "club funds" (which we've raised through disc sales), and a couple of us are willing to chip in for others, but we still need more cash if we're going to support a full team.  

If you'd be willing to put in $50 to support this sponsorship, can you please let Nathan (nathangauthier@hotmail.com) know by tomorrow?  

Also, for anyone on this list who isn't already playing on another team, if you want to join the Rwanda / Burundi team, please also communicate this to Nathan. Thanks!

Tournament is this weekend! Saturday and Sunday. I think the Rwandans that we’ve already committed to sponsoring are leaving to Kampala by bus on Friday morning. The Burundi players, if we sponsor any, would need to first get to Kigali (they would pay for that bus trip themselves) so we need to let them know ASAP if we have more funding. The costs are about $70 per person and the club only has enough to cover 6 people, so assuming we get up to a 12 person team (the minimum I would think) we need to get another $420 or so in sponsorship. 

 

Per person costs

Bus to Kampala = 10,000 RWF

Bus back to Kigali = 12,000 RWF

Motos in Kampala = 8,000 RWF

Tournament fee = 17,250 RWF

Total = 47,250 RWF (about $70 US)

 

Anybody who wants to play in the tournament is also welcome to sign up and pay for themselves. Ideally the team would have 15 or so people. Unfortunately, we need to finalize this today. I can share flight and hotel info if interested.
