My greatest friend in the world had a terrible disease. For New Year's Day, I made a word cloud art with her favourite people in the shape of a heart. I was crying while making it. Thank you for this unique way to send love to my friend!

I recently started using this program and absolutely love it. It took me a couple hours to figure out all the little nuances to it, like locking the words, moving and locking, and once I saw that I can import fonts...well game on! My thanks to the developers of this program!

Wordclouds.com is a free online word cloud generator and tag cloud creator. Wordclouds.com works on your PC, Tablet or smartphone. Paste text, upload a document or open an URL to automatically generate a word- or tag cloud. Or enter individual words manually in the word list. Pick a shape, select colors and fonts and choose how to draw the words. Wordclouds.com can also generate clickable word clouds with links (image map). When you are satisfied with the result, save the image and share it online.

Wordclouds.com is a free online word cloud generator and tag cloud generator, similar to Wordle. Create your own word clouds and tag clouds. Paste text or upload documents and select shape, colors and font to create your own word cloud....

First, by design, when I make different selections using the data filter, the subset of records that are shown in the map changes and the word cloud applies only to that selection. However, when I change the data filter selection, the word cloud's overall size often changes so that it no longer fits within the container (e.g., scroll bars show up) like image 2 below. Is there a way to lock the size of the word cloud to match the maximum size of the container so that I don't get the scroll bars when the number of terms change?

Second, is there a way to change font size so that there is less of a difference in size between the most common terms and the least common terms in the word cloud? Right now, I can only increase or decrease the font size for all terms (e.g, by selecting a font size of 8 versus 11), but I can't figure out how to decrease the range in size between common and less common terms. I'd like to control this range (if that's possible). If not, I'd like to be able to set font size to be the same for all terms, regardless of their frequency of occurrence. Is this possible? See images below

When you create a word cloud using Poll Everywhere, each word comes from the audience. You ask the question, the audience responds on their phones, and together you see opinions become artwork. Words move and grow with each new response.

I am using the Intelligence Suite Word Cloud which I'm running over an import of a PDF document. For some reason I am still getting single letter words show up in my word cloud such as "s", "e", "b", "q" even though I have added them as stop words in the text pre-processing tool. Does anyone know I get rid of these?

Hi @PeterAP , I just tested this out and it worked for me. Are you separating your stop words with a comma and space in the pre-processing tool? Also, make sure you are using the new column for the word cloud (ends with "_processed").

This user-friendly free online wordle creator can be used on computers, tablets, and smartphones. There are many options for generating and tailoring your word cloud. Need inspiration? Check out their gallery of wordle examples!

This free word cloud generator for teachers allows you to create symmetrical wordles. The interface is incredibly easy to use and generates powerful algorithms so you can make a cool, customized word cloud in seconds.

Hi,
I would like to see the results of a survey in a word cloud. So instead of displaying the number of times a word appears, I would like to display the words according to the number of votes. I told to make an intermediate table with a formula that displays the word several times (1 per row) depending on the number of votes but have figure out how to do this.

P.S. The word cloud chart breaks down items in the text column into words by spaces (any spaces, it seems). So the only way to calculate the whole multi-word text as a single entry is to replace spaces within the text with something else, e.g. hyphens:

I tried different sorts of spaces (you can insert a character using Character(160), where the number is a decimal Unicode number of the character; 160 being for non-breaking space). Coda still broke those down into separate words. Hence the hyphen.

the value will always be 1 for every row. I want a word cloud of the search terms based on the number of times a term was searched. For this I selected sum(value) and grouped by the tag searchTerm, but to no avail.

The Word Cloud, also known as wordle or word collage, is one of Mentimeter's most popular question types. Ask your audience a question and watch as their answers create a Word Cloud that grows, expands and transforms in real time.

In case your audience enters undesired words that haven't been captured by our profanity filter, or you simply want to remove certain entries or tidy up the results before exporting to PDF, you can remove input from Word Clouds and Open Ended questions. This can be done either in the Mentimote or directly on your presentation screen. For more info see: Remove input from Word Cloud questions.

What tool creates the cloud itself? It has cool looking styling, what parameters does it need to make it look like that? Now that I have played a bit with word clouds I think that figuring out the right styling is a separate challenge onto its own.

I am interested to use Evernote as a tool to summarize key issues within an area of interest via a word cloud. There are many online resources which, given a collection of text can produce a histogram explicitly or graphically of most common words.

8) IN EVERNOTE: Copy any notes you want to have converted to a word cloud into the notebook you created in Step 1. this will make Zapier think that you have added a bunch of new notes, triggering the creation of a pile of RSS feed items.

Another feature I would like is to use some intelligent word/phrase analyses such as stemming and similar (WordNet?) matching. In my field people type Healthcare and Health Care. They usually mean the same thing.

There should be a Dashboard feature for projects to have a Word Cloud. The word cloud would show you repeated words from tasks and comments in the project and when you click on the repeated words in the cloud, it should show you a filtered view of all tasks and comments containing those words.

I am trying to create a word cloud with LaTex for my research keywords. I would like to make it searchable (thus not an image) and to make sure that LaTex does not divide my research keywords (which might be composed by two or more terms, with no hyphens).

1) The code does not allow me to have a two or more terms keywords. Imagine my two keywords are (i) differential equations, and (ii) partial differential equations; I would like LaTex to consider the keyword differential equations as a single word when developing the word cloud. I tried with \mbox and \tabfill but this does not work (LaTex even show mbox and tabfill in the cloud!)

I'm trying to practice making word clouds in R and I've seen the process nicely explained in sites like this ( -bloggers.com/building-wordclouds-in-r/) and in some videos on YouTube. So I thought I'd pick some random long document to practice myself.

My question is based on an html document what is the best way to save it to be read in to be used for something like this? I know with the rvest package you can read in webpages. The tutorials for word clouds have used .csv files so I'm not sure if that's what my end goal needs to be.

As a speaker, you can use a word cloud to crowdsource insights from your audience that you can use to kick off a discussion with your audience. Use one of these thought-provoking word clouds to make your presentation more conversational.

Text variables often contain words that are highly indicative of the response. The Word Cloud insight displays up to the 200 most impactful words and short phrases in word cloud format.

In a word cloud, learners enter words into a field in response to a questionor prompt. The words that all of the learners enter then appear instantly as acolorful graphic, with the most popular responses appearing largest. Thegraphic becomes larger as more learners answer. Learners can see how theirpeers answered as well as contribute their thoughts to the group.

To enable the word cloud tool in Studio, you add the "word_cloud" key tothe Advanced Module List on the Advanced Settings page. (Be sure toinclude the quotation marks around the key value.) For more information, seeEnabling Additional Exercises and Tools.

Maximum Words: The maximum number of words that the generated wordcloud displays. If learners enter 300 different words but the maximumis set to 250, only the 250 most commonly entered words appear in theword cloud.

Show Percents: Select True or False. If this option is set toTrue, after learners have contributed to a word cloud, thefrequency that each of their own contributed words has been entered isshown as a percentage of all words entered.

You need to configure a datasource so that the query returns a list of tokens and group the result by terms. You should change the names of word, and count fields in the options tab of the plugin according to your query, if you don't default fields with matching types present in your query will be used. The amount of words is configured in the datasource settings. In those settings is also important that you choose "Order by: Doc Count".
