Some Eugene Updates

Hello Kidical Massers (Eugene folks mostly)

A couple items of possible interest for you:

-New blog post is up on the Eugene SRTS site "Scare Your Pants Off Routes to School": http://eugenesrts.org/news/syports

-Arriving by Bike Grand Opening Celebration this weekend will involve an Xtracycle Rally!  All you Xtraparents out there represent! (10:30am, 2705 Willamette St.) Prizes and more- see the website for more: www.arrivingbybike.com

-We don't have specific plans for the Dec. 19th Kidical mass (and I'll be out of town) so if someone want to jump in and lead it that would be great.

-We DO have some plans for the Jan. 16th ride!  That day we'll be holding a Street Skills 101 for Families at McCornack Elementary (more info and registration HERE).  We'll be riding over their way.  They'll meet up with us and we'll ride back to McCornack with them for some special treats (Hot Soup!).

-Save the Date! Eugene's Walking and Biking Summit is January 23rd (9-1). It's the kickoff for the Cities Bike/Ped Master Plan.  They need to hear from you (families) on the direction needed to encourage more walking and biking in our community.  There will be special arrangements for families including breakfast, childcare, and information for parents, staff, and students.
