Dear Tony,

Do you have an ETA for an official 2.3.0 release? My mere reason for asking is that I'd like Kiama to depend on the latest version of Guava (to avoid dependency conflicts).

Thank you,
Malte

Hi Malte,

I don’t have a firm timetable for the 2.3.0 release. Recently we’ve added quite a lot of support to kiama-extras (and some underlying changes in Kiama itself) for the Language Server Protocol. I think we need to do more testing of that code before I put out a release, so it might not be feasible to do it soon.

Would it suffice if I put out a 2.2.1 that is 2.2.0 with the library dependencies updated?

Or are you relying on specific changes that are in 2.3.0-SNAPSHOT?

cheers,
Tony

Hi Tony,

Any release that includes the library version update should be fine, thank you!

Cheers,
Malte

Hi Malte,

I have a 2.2.1 release ready to go. The only differences to 2.2.0 are the following dependency upgrades:

all:
scala 2.12.8
scalacheck 1.14.0
scalatest 3.0.7

core:
guava 27.1-jre

extras:
scallop 3.2.0

Can you confirm that these will be compatible with your needs? If so, I’ll publish as soon as I can.

thanks,
Tony

Hi Tony,

That sounds good, thank you! As an added bonus, it gives me an incentive to update my project's dependencies on Scallop and ScalaTest :-)

Cheers,
Malte
