Dear Khulisa Journal Editors/Managers,

Annual leave
I will be taking leave from 5-25 May 2025. During this time, please reach out to Nason anytime, should you need urgent assistance. His email: nason...@gmail.com Thanks so much once again Nason for your assistance in advance!

Digital Object Identifiers and quality metadata
As indicated before, the quality of journal article metadata is more important than ever before. This includes descriptive keywords, proper and correct references, funder info, author info (incl. ORCIDs), and many more. The more complete the better the chances for published articles to be visible and discoverable. Also make sure all journal article DOIs always resolve.

View the quality of your journal metadata at https://www.crossref.org/members/prep/6689

For DOI conflict reports, please see: https://www.crossref.org/06members/59conflict.html  >>  Academy of Science of South Africa. The ideal is for your journal to have no DOI article conflicts.

Social media mentions
PlumX is a free to use tool to track social media mentions of published articles. See https://www.elsevier.com/insights/metrics/plumx/integrate To activate it for your journal, contact: PlumXs...@elsevier.com You can also let me know, and I can arrange on your behalf.

Scholarly Publishing Programme website
We have worked on our website and cleaned it up a bit. Please visit https://www.assaf.org.za/scholarly-publishing-programme/ to learn more about SPP at ASSAf and the many activities the SPP Team is involved in.

Journal invoices for 2025-26
The annual hosting fee will be remaining the same. I will request our financial officer (Mr Rooi Nyembe) to directly email you the invoices. Thank you so much colleagues for your continued support, and it is an absolute privilege working with you all!

With kind regards and take care,
Ina
