Dear Editors and Journal Managers,
Last week, I took some time to review the DOIs allocated to the Khulisa Journals, and, where necessary, I have corrected DOIs which did not resolve correctly. All DOIs should always resolve, and the DOI in the article/item metadata record should always match
the DOI on the PDF.
I am currently working through the DOIs for the last two journals (SADJ and SAJSM).
I kindly request that you test all DOIs following a new publication and keep your DOI registry up to date. This will help significantly in identifying any issues, and will also be of value when handing over the journal to another team in future.
Ideally, all DOIs should have a
Registered status, once the DOI and metadata have been deposited with Crossref.
Other fixes that were applied during the past couple of days:
- 1 plugin that caused problems were deactivated for each journal (
ORCiD)
- 1 plugin which caused Authors not to be displayed as part of the citation was corrected (
Citation Style Language)
-
{$contextName} was replaced with
{$journalName} in 2 email templates (not in any of your customised email templates though)
Let me know if you need any further assistance anytime. OJS is very stable, and we have not had any major issues during the past month. Thanks to Nason for all his support provided in the backend.
Kind regards,
Ina
