As you might be aware Genetic Engineering Appraisal Committee (GEAC), which is part of India's Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, and responsible for regulation of GM crops has given approval for commercial release of GM mustard

Please join a twitter storm today - Saturday, 29th October 2022 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

The Hastag would primarily be #NoGMMustardPoison (and also #SaveOurFarmers)

Tag @PMOIndia @narendramodi @moefcc @byadavbjp and ask them to withdraw the environmental clearance.

 

Keep tagging GM-Free campaign voices like Devinderji, Vandanaji, Kavitha, et al at regular intervals. Also, keep tagging others with large following and get them to post/retweet in our favour. Do also tag Media professionals, Government Officials and Policy Makers, as well.

"NoGMMustardPoison" sounds like  pure propoganda. On what basis is this "poison"? Or is every GM crop "poison" according to you folks, no matter how much it has been scientifically tested for safety or how much GM crops have the potential to can help the environment? Sounds like a cult.

I had subscribed to this email thread thinking that it was something about making progress in society and associated fields. This however sounds like a fearmongering interest group.

I was in the field that day. No, I will not be attending a webinar to understand the problems with GM mustards. Please share peer-reviewed papers. 

I don't have time for pseudo-science.
