Vikalp@Prithvi - Online Screenings - Week 28

Watch the film at https://vimeo.com/183661139/bdd560e75b and send your questions for the director at http://bit.ly/november-film or vikalpsc...@gmail.com by Sunday midnight.

Synopsis: 'Era o Hotel Cambridge' tells the story of refugees, recently arrived in Brazil who, together with a group of low-income workers, occupy an old abandoned building in downtown São Paulo. Daily dramas, comical situations and different views on the world commingle with the threat of impending eviction.

The Cambridge Squatter does a very difficult thing: it takes what essentially is a local interest story and elevates it into something universal and urgently contemporary. A potent combination of empathy and food for thought.” - The Hollywood Reporter
