Since 2000, Chartier has curated his influential label LINE, publishing over 150 editions documenting the compositional and installation work of international sound artists and composers who explore the aesthetics of contemporary and digital minimalism.
For over a quarter of a century, sound artist and composer Richard Chartier has interrogated an ever deepening thread of minimalist sound that meshes questions of stasis, pulse and timbre. The results of this work is some of the most quietly intense compositions of this century. His is a music of subtle variation, unwavering concentration, and also patience. This five part work created between 2020 and 2022 is dedicated to his friend and fellow sound artist Steve Roden.
I worked on the compositions included on this album as Steve gradually slipped away from communication. He was not in my life like he had been before. During this time it became apparent that these pieces were for Steve. A reflection of his ability to find beauty in the most minute details. Even when finally reviewing the final masters after his passing, I tried to think about how Steve would listen.
Liquid Music ll features a full-length video by Jon Wozencroft, an extract of which you can view above. The download bundle also includes audio of the soundtrack, by Fennesz. This is a Bandcamp exclusive release.
The footage was filmed on Hi-8 and mini-DV between 1995 and 2001 and is intended as an analogue to the fast moving developments of digital media and its distribution at that time. With this in mind, none of the footage benefits from any post-production nor processing, it is as seen through the lens of the camera which often involved dangerous positioning, close to the edge of rivers and rocks to get a forensic capture of the movement. A tripod was impossible; at times the camera is almost touching the water.

Since its founding in 1982, Touch (based in London) has created audio-visual productions and live events that combine innovation with a level of care and attention that has made it the most enduring of any independent company of its time.
Over the last 9 years we have cultivated a unique and cherished space for our community here in Waterloo, we are unwavering in our commitment to preserving it. We hope to see you at one of our upcoming events and thank you for being a part of our journey at IKLECTIK.
In a financial context, gold is synonymous with reliability and security. Culturally, gold is the standard of fame and success. The latter is not the same as the former. Number 1 records are not iconic as they once were, and PR/TV/streaming and social media promotion is rarely matched by physical sales and attention to the music.

Following Touch: Isolation which covered the first lockdown period in the UK, Touch: Displacing as a full album is now available; the focus falls on longer-form compositions, originally released on a monthly basis over 2020-2021 and featuring artists for whom duration is a key feature of their work.
Full album now available - 28 exclusive tracks recorded by Touch artists,
with the final track delivered on 25th May 2020. A photographic counterpoint by Jon Wozencroft, the view from Hampstead Heath during the London lockdown.
The Touch.radiusX, Touch.radiusY, and Touch.rotationAngle describe the area of contact between the user and the screen, the touch area. This can be helpful when dealing with imprecise pointing devices such as fingers. These values are set to describe an ellipse that as closely as possible matches the entire area of contact (such as the user's fingertip).
Note: Many of the properties' values are hardware-dependent; for example, if the device doesn't have a way to detect the amount of pressure placed on the surface, the force value will always be 0. This may also be the case for radiusX and radiusY; if the hardware reports only a single point, these values will be 1.
Returns a unique identifier for this Touch object. A given touch point (say, by a finger) will have the same identifier for the duration of its movement around the surface. This lets you ensure that you're tracking the same touch all the time.
Returns the Element on which the touch point started when it was first placed on the surface, even if the touch point has since moved outside the interactive area of that element or even been removed from the document.
Face or touch unlock works best on the following devices and browsers, especially with combinations that match between device and browser. If you are using Firefox and cannot authenticate with face or touch unlock, switch to using Safari if on an Apple device or Chrome if on a Windows or Android device.
We strongly recommend adding a second authentication method in case you replace or lose your device. If you lose access to your only authentication method, you will need to delete your account and create a new one.
Face or touch unlock will only work on the original device you set it up with unless you set up face or touch unlock on a newer device and browser that supports passkeys, and has bluetooth or cloud sync between your accounts enabled. Having bluetooth or cloud sync enabled allows your face or touch unlock credential to be shared between your devices.
To prevent having to delete your account in the future, we strongly recommend setting up more than one authentication method. That way, you have a back-up authentication method to use for signing in in case you lose one.
Devices can track a number of different pieces of data about a touch on a touchscreen, including its phase of the touch lifecycle, its position and whether the touch was a single contact or several taps. Furthermore, the continuity of a touch between frame updates can be detected by the device, so a consistent ID number can be reported across frames and used to determine how a particular finger is moving.
The touch lifecycle describes the state of a touch in any given frame:
The Touch struct is used by Unity to store data relating to a single touch instance and is returned by the Input.GetTouch function. Fresh calls to GetTouch will be required on each frame update to obtain the latest touch information from the device but the fingerId property can be used to identify the same touch between frames.
Note: On iOS devices, any Touch information that is being held in memory (for example, when you are part way through the touch lifecycle) will be lost if the application is minimized. This happens because iOS calls ResetTouch() and wipes all touch data from memory. The lifecycle of that touch ends there and any functionality that relies on later phases of the touch lifecycle is not executed. If you experience this problem, you should move the functionality that is not being executed into MonoBehaviour.OnApplicationFocus or MonoBehaviour.OnApplicationPause.

The resulting time shall be affected by the value of the TZ environment variable. If the resulting time value precedesthe Epoch, the behavior is implementation-defined. If the time is out of range for the file's timestamp, touch shall exitimmediately with an error status. The range of valid times past the Epoch is implementation-defined, but it shall extend to atleast the time 0 hours, 0 minutes, 0 seconds, January 1, 2038, Coordinated Universal Time. Some implementations may not be able torepresent dates beyond January 18, 2038, because they use signed int as a time holder.
The range for SS is [00,60] rather than [00,59] because of leap seconds. If SS is 60, and the resulting time, asaffected by the TZ environment variable, does not refer to a leap second, the resulting time shall be one second after atime where SS is 59. If SS is not given a value, it is assumed to be zero.
Create or update a file called eggert; the resulting file has the last data access timestamp set to the correspondingtime of the file named mark instead of the current time. If the file exists, the last data modification time is notchanged:
