Hi all,
Want to have friends in 28 states?
Want to live on a train for 18 days?
Want to experience a journey that could change your Life?
If the answer is yes, then come along.
Jagriti Yatra is an annual train journey that takes 400 highly motivated young Indians and a few young people from outside India between the ages of 20 and 25 as Yatris (Participants) and above 25 years as Facilitator, on an 18 day national odyssey covering over 10,000 km, to meet with and learn from the real heroes of India. A specially hired 18 bogies train takes the highly motivated 400 young men and women competitively selected out of a pool of about 20,000 applications from across the country, to meet with and learn from exceptional entrepreneurs who are developing innovative solutions to India’s challenges.
Some of our key role models and speakers are Dr. R. A. Mashelkar, Bunker Roy (Barefoot College), R. Elango (Kutumbakkam village), and Anshu Gupta (Goonj), Joe Madiath (Gram Vikas, Orissa).
It has been executed successfully for three years in a row since 2008, and is slowly establishing itself as a calendar national event that is a ‘must go’, attracting over 20,000 applications from across the nation and the world every year. For registrations go on www.jagritiyatra.com/register
The aim is to awaken the spirit of entrepreneurship – both social and economic – in India’s youth by exposing them to individuals and institutions that are developing unique solutions to India’s challenges. Through this national event we will inspire them to lead and develop institutions nationally and within their communities.
This is the route map attached, which we followed in 2010 Yatra.
We invite you to participate and spread the word of this amazing life changing journey among your community, so that people from your college/community can get benefit of this extraordinary world’s longest event. Registrations for Jagriti Yatra 2011 have begun and we have over 10000 registrations already. To know more about the Yatra visit www.jagritiyatra.com
