Dear KGELL Action Participants,

We are pleased to announce the 1st Call for Dissemination Conference Grants by the KGELL COST Action.

The primary goal of these grants is to increase the visibility of our work and strengthen dissemination to the wider research community and stakeholders. We are looking to fund high-impact oral presentations at prestigious conferences (such as ISWC, ESWC, ACL, or KDD) that are organized by third parties.

🌍 Eligibility

This call is open to KGELL participants affiliated with COST Member Countries and Near Neighbour Countries (NNCs). Eligibility is verified through your primary affiliation registered in the e-COST system.

💰 Funding & Deadlines
  • Maximum Grant Amount: Up to 1,500 EUR to cover travel and conference expenses.

  • Application Deadline: 15 April 2026 (23:59 CET).

  • Notification: 1 May 2026.

  • Conference Date: The presentation must take place no later than 1 November 2026.


📝 Application Requirements

Applications must be submitted via e-COST under the “Dissemination Conference Grant” section. Your submission must include:

  • COST Application Template.

  • Abstract of the accepted oral presentation.

  • Acceptance/Invitation Letter from the conference organizers.

  • Motivation Letter explaining how the presentation benefits KGELL visibility and your own career development.

Acknowledgement Note: Grantees are expected to acknowledge KGELL and COST in their conference paper or presentation using the official COST Action CA24121 text.

⚖️ Evaluation Criteria

Proposals will be ranked competitively based on the quality of the contribution, its relevance to KGELL dissemination, and COST inclusiveness considerations (including geographical spread, ITC participation, and gender balance).

Please note that per KGELL policy, applicants may submit only one application per call round across all grant tracks.
