Im stuck away from work here in Liverpool due to heavy snow and can't get administrator access to any machine here, so I can't install the usual Sonicwall Global VPN client to connect to work!

I'm running Windows 7 64 bit, if anyone knows any way I could get connected with or without the official Sonicwall client, and without administrator access, I'd be very much in your debt! (e.g. is there a portable version available??) Thanks, Sam ;)

Yes! Certainly this isn't limited to SonicWall, but here's a link to their browser-based VPN appliance. I could've sworn someone was pitching a separate license/service we could purchase for our existing firewall, but I may have misunderstood - I'm not finding a link. However, that would get around your non-admin access to the computers within reach.

You will not be able to install the VPN client through any clever tricks. The VPN adapter functions to windows similarly to a hardware network adapter - that is to say, you need permissions such that you'd be able to add "hardware" to the system. Blocking non-admins from this kind of access is a central part of the distinction between admin and user access.

I have a windows 8 pc that has both the cisco VPN client and the globalprotect client install and they both work fine. So in my case there appears to be no relationship between the two that would cause issues that I am aware.

Thanks for the reply. I do use a remote management tool. However, if I cannot get it to work locally, the script will not work in a management tool. I am starting to think a silent install (update) is not possible for the Global VPN client.

This QuickStart Guide will help you install GO-Global and activate cloud licenses on an Application Host, configure the host, install a Windows application on the host, and publish that application to users accessing it from the Internet. The Guide will also point you to in-depth references if you want additional or more detailed information.

GO-Global is an application publishing solution that allows organizations to publish Windows applications from any public, private, or hybrid cloud, to any device that supports a browser. GO-Global is optimized for reliable, secure, and scalable application delivery due to its thin-client, server-based architecture.

Most GO-Global customers start a GO-Global evaluation by installing the free 30-Day Trial and activating the GO-Global trial license. When an order is placed, GraphOn will convert the trial to a cloud license subscription.

B. Install the application(s) you want to share on a Windows computer that meets the GO-Global System Requirements. Applications must be available as an executable file (.exe). NOTE: You must be an Administrator on the computer in order to install and run GO-Global.

C. Click Install to install all GO-Global components. If you want to install only certain GO-Global components, click Customize and uncheck the GO-Global components you do not want to install.

E. Enter your account information (your account email address) and password as established in Step 1.A. above and click Sign In to activate your trial via the GO-Global portal.

F. After restarting and logging back on to the computer, the GO-Global Interactive Quick Start Guide will launch in your browser. Guide instructions are on the left side of the browser window.

G. To start using GO-Global, on the right side of the window, sign into the machine using your Windows user name and password. Follow the Interactive QuickStart Guide steps to complete your initial GO-Global setup.

We are trying to install SonicWall Global VPM client on a Microsoft Surface Pro running Windows 2011. We have installed successfully on dozens of Windows 10 computers and a few Windows 11 computer we configured from scratch when new. Windows 11 Surface is an employee's personal computer at home. We get the attached error message and when check the Microsoft URL listed it seems to be bogus.

although this solution is not the best and the safest solution exists, this worked for me and that make sense because all the problem we had with the errors is the permission problems. so you can use this command and ignore those permission problems :

I guess, this issue comes from permission or node version , if you get this error when the node module is being refreshed ---> This is definitely a permission issue. Disable your Antiviruses or change permission manually check this as well.

It is likely you do not have the permissions to access this file as the current user. The best way to solve this problem is to reinstall npm with a node version manager. And you don't need to remove your current version.

try going into windows resource monitor and terminating adb.exe (android resource bridge). This worked for me after searching for solutions for days. I tried this after verifying cache, clearing cache, you name it.

As a Debian 10 buster user I got the same permission error while using this command: sudo npm install expo-cli --global.The problem was solved by installing expo-cli with yarn package manager and the command below: sudo yarn global add expo-cli.

I had this problem in Windows 10, to be able to install the latest version (I had no choice since it broke the current one). I had to install the latest version of Python (3.8.0) and then run npm install --global --production windows-build-tools as an administrator, then I was able to run again: npm install expo-cli --global to install the version 3.8.0 of the expo-cli

If anyone else has this problem here is my fix, go to Finder, in the input field (search box) type in /usr/local/lib then press CMD + SHIFT + G press the OK button or whatever pops up, then CMD + SHIFT + . and delete the NVM file i deleted the expo folder too. Then go to this link -node-js-with-homebrew-on-os-xfollow the instructions and install brew, node, etc. Last step go to your terminal and type sudo npm install expo-cli --global

The MinIO Client mc command line tool provides a modern alternativeto UNIX commands like ls, cat, cp, mirror, and diff withsupport for both filesystems and Amazon S3-compatible cloud storage services.

MinIO provides no guarantees for other S3-compatible services, as their S3 APIimplementation is unknown and therefore unsupported. While mccommands may work as documented, any such usage is at your own risk.

For best functionality and compatibility, use a MinIO Client version released closely to your MinIO Server version. For example, a MinIO Client released the same day or later than your MinIO Server version.

You can install a version of the MinIO Client that is more recent than the MinIO Server version. However, if the MinIO Client version skews too far from the MinIO Server version, you may see increased warnings or errors as a result of the differences. For example, while core S3 APIs around copying (mc cp) may remain unchanged, some features or flags may only be available or stable if the client and server versions are aligned.

The following example temporarily disables the bash history to mitigate therisk of authentication credentials leaking in plain text. This is a basicsecurity measure and does not mitigate all possible attack vectors. Defer tosecurity best practices for your operating system for inputting sensitiveinformation on the command line.

The mc anonymous command supports setting or removing anonymous policies to a bucket and its contents.Buckets with anonymous policies allow public access where clients can perform any action granted by the policy without authentication.

The mc cat command concatenates the contents of a file orobject to another file or object. You can also use the command todisplay the contents of the specified file or object to STDOUT.cat has similar functionality to cat.

The mc diff mc computes the differences between two filesystem directoriesor MinIO buckets. mc diff lists only those objects which are missing orwhich differ in size. mc diff does not compare the contents ofobjects.

The mc mirror command synchronizes content to MinIO deployment, similar to the rsync utility.mc mirror supports filesystems, MinIO deployments, and other S3-compatible hosts as the synchronization source.

The mc mv command moves an object from source to the target, such asbetween MinIO deployments or between buckets on the same MinIO deployment.mc mv also supports moving objects between a local filesystem and MinIO.

The mc retention command configures the Write-Once Read-Many (WORM) locking settings for an object or object(s) in a bucket. You can also set the default object lock settings for a bucket, where all objects without explicit object lock settings inherit the bucket default.

The MinIO Client mc support commands provides tools for analyzing deployment health or performance and for running diagnostics. You can also upload generated health reports for further analysis by MinIO engineering.

For Windows, mc attempts to construct a default file path by tryingspecific environment variables. If a variable is unset, mc movesto the next variable. If all attempts fail, mc returns an error. The following list describes each possible file path location in the ordermc checks them:

Contains the Grid Infrastructure Software including Oracle Clusterware, Automated Storage Management (ASM), and ASM Cluster File System. Download and install prior to installing Oracle Real Application Clusters, Oracle Real Application Clusters One Node, or other application software in a Grid Environment

Contains the Oracle Client Libraries for Windows. Download if you want the client libraries only.

There are two installation client archive file types. The first file is the client installation binary and the second file is the client gold image. Download the appropriate zip file based on the preferred installation type.
