The hotkeys for setting and jumping to bookmarks always seem to work
in Keynote. In NF they don't seem to work until I use the menu option
first -- after that the hotkeys will work. Anybody else notice that,
or is it a local problem?

Same here on Windows XP. You don't have to even set a bookmark -- just
go to the bookmark set menu. I'm guessing key assignment sequences
don't exist in memory until the menu is activated. If there's a way to
run a macro on loading, then you could run a macro that would also set
key 9, activating the others as well.

Hello, y'all! I too, have tried all the free outliner/notebook type
programs out there and have kept to Keynote anyways. Keynote lacks
many important features, and the new developer seems *very* slow to
improve anything, and he doesn't seem to appear in this *very* slow
forum very often. Nevertheless, I love Keynote and haven't found a
better program yet.

I have successfully RENAMED Keynote links, however! But you have to
trick it. After you have placed your keynote link, delete the inside
of the string:
for example, here is your link to a node within a note called
"tidbits":
Tidbits/autoit sendkey 18
Now highlight the insides - be sure to leave the first and last
characters, and type what you want:
TGeorge8
Now you can delete the first and last characters:
George
The link will work for you and is named what you want.
BUT, a major shortcoming of Keynote is that you cannot edit the link
once it is set! If you rename the node or move the node or note the
link is broken and you have to recreate the whole renaming process
from scratch for each broken link. There is no way to edit the link
itself (unless you replace text by opening the keynote file in
notepad, I think).

Anyways, Cheers, y'all.
