with the addition of this feature.
Keynote will be the most perfect outliner EVER!

"Outline" feature in the notes section, just like the one found in
word 2007.

goto "view" => "outline"

it goes like this:

+ This is an outline.
+ This is what's missing in keynote.
       - It will be perfect if keynote has this feature.

I don't understand, KeyNote IS an OUTLINEr !

I had guessed you were thinking of something like that. Word has had this feature long before 2007 :-) But there is already an outline in KeyNote, the only thing is that it is in a separate pane instead of being integrated into the text. Of course, it would be possible to include an outline into the text pane too, but what would be the point? An outline into an outilne, don't you think it would be confusing?

checkout noteliner.

Nope, just a long-time user :-) I happen to be a programmer too, but I never looked at KeyNote's source code.

I still fail to see what would be the use. I could understand giving the user the choice between tree in a separate pane or text interspersed into the tree (in some cases it could make more sense to have the second view) but not separate and interspersed tree at the same time. Could you give an example where it would be useful?

not at all.
the outline feature can be optional, it will only be turned on if the
user chooses to.
flexibility is the keyword we're talking about.
btw, you're not the programmer of keynote NF are u?

Hey, are y'all talking about using an outline (like in Word) inside of
a node, or are you talking about something else? If you are talking
about that, then I will mention that Keynote NF does do autonumber and
bulleted list, but y'all are right that it won't do any outlining of
that list. Now, I would find this outline function to be most
valuable! I have searched the world over for a replacement for
Keynote, but to no avail. The developement is so slow that it is
painful, but I can't complain too much, seeing that it is free, and
the chore is enormous. I would be willing to assist, except that I
don't know delphi, and cannot purchase it; so here I am waiting for
improvements like anyone else. Keynote is indespensible for me!

Anyway, I second the motion for an outline function!
