I have since switched to: http://www.mynoteskeeper.com/ (which has been amazing so far).

I would have forked it and updated it long ago, but it's written in delphi.
I switched to TreeDBNotes and haven't looked back.

Very disappointing that this project seems dead.

As to the other solutions suggested, they are all lacking one very important feature. >> Checkboxes on the tree nodes... although I realize that checkboxes may only meet a specific need.

Well, it looks like an update was just released 7 days ago, with the last one before that being 2013. Go here: https://github.com/dpradov/keynote-nf/releases

How is the free version crippled? My current Keynote file is 32mb and must have at least 80 nodes total.
