Hi,

I have a dual monitor setup and I would like to launch keynav on my
first monitor by pressing ctrl+semicolon, and on my second monitor by
pressing alt+semicolon. So I tried modifying .keynavrc like this:

ctrl+semicolon start,cut-left
alt+semicolon start,cut-right

Strangely enough, the first shortcut works (keynav immediately on left
monitor), but nothing happens when I press the second shortcut. I
tried to change the keybinding, but no result. When I remove "cut-
right" from the last line, both shortcuts work. Does anyone have any
idea how I can set the shortcut to both start and cut-right without
breaking stuff?

Thanks,
stefanie

What version of keynav are you using? Multimonitor support was added some time ago, and from your report it sounds like it's not there.

Also, I can't reproduce the problem you're seeing. In my .keynavrc, I put:
alt+semicolon start,cut-right

This works for me, though I'm on svn trunk.
If I test the same config in Ubuntu 9.04's keynav (0.20080509-1), I do see the same problem you are describing.

I think there's been some work to upgrade the keynav package in debian/ubuntu, but I forget where the status of that is.

Thanks,
