I was wondering if anyone knows the correct size for background banner images for index pages? I was using 1500 x 1000 on canva but when i upload the design it comes out blown up,distorted and also very blurry , even when i change the focal point. I only have a chromebook so I'm not able to use photoshop , but I use photopea & canva to create my graphic and web designs. Also i want to note that I tried using my own custom dimensions and also the canva web design template dimensions but eveything is still distorted. I am using the Stella template. Am I doing anything wrong? Ill attach screenshots of how it comes out vs. how it should look.

I need to print a banner with the size of 3x1m. Does that mean I should design the banner in Inkscape (my prefered vector software) with the canvas size of 3m x 1m also? Or could I design in smaller ratio like 30cm x 10cm?
This should be discussed with the company going to produce the actual banners, since each printer has different ways of looking at this, depending on their machines, workflow, etc. While most printers will probably prefer to print PDF's, some could require a JPG or TIF or EPS format.
Can I ask, do you have any formal design education? You say you are a Graphic Designer. Is this the case, or have you just called yourself one? Have you done any live work? If so, it will be of much more use to you to build a portfolio using this.
For me, the preference would be a three-four year degree and four to five years of experience before even thinking about freelancing. You cannot have enough knowledge or experience after one year putting web banners together.

Your banner is overall catching in appearance. Your idea to build your portfolio is good. There may be and are some areas that need improvement. Keep building your portfolio picking such variety of banners. The more you practice, the more maturity you gain.
I would suggest you to pick logos, banners, flyers, and circulars of the top brands and try to practice them and record them in your portfolio. Having done all this, you could be able to compare the shortcomings and that would be your first hand learning.

Our outdoor vinyl banners are printed on a matte white 13oz scrim vinyl. The vinyl material is waterproof and rollable. This material can be folded, however, if folded wrinkles/creases will permanently form in the material.
We recommend keeping the shipping box so you can easily roll up and store the banner away. Do not fold your vinyl backdrop, once the material becomes creased it is very hard to get the creases out, always roll the banner instead of fold.
The regular vinyl banners can be double sided, however the material is a little thin and the back printed graphic may cause a shadow on the front if any light source is behind it. We recommend purchasing 2 banners and hanging them back to back, however, if you would really like double sided we also recommend going with the 15oz Vinyl Posters, as this material has a light blocking liner and will be better for double sided printing.
