I'm not sure why but for some reason the shader doesn't work on the light plugin. It works on sprites but not the light. If I add the effect to the light plugin "set Color" followed by "AlphaFlip" then it works on the plugin... -> I may need to post this in another forum

Ashley - thanks for the suggestion! I tried that already though. The weirdest thing is that it works no matter how shader is used on a sprite. Regardless of how I set up the layers I can't get it to work the way I expect it to on the light plugin. If I use the set color shader on the plugin before flipping alpha it works. I'm going to have to dig around to see whats going on/make sure I even wrote my shader correctly.

These plugins were written by me over the years to extend areas of Cinema 4D where i felt the need for extra functionality for my creative endeavors. They are mostly modeling tools and shaders. They are provided free of charge.

This is a shader plugin to change the time value for the evaluation of another shader. The main purpose of this plugin is to be able to use the same animated texture several times, at different times without having to create a lot of copies of virtually the same material.

Points , Surface , Surface With Edges , and Wireframe rely onextracting the surface mesh from the dataset and then rendering that either as acollection of points, as solid surface, as solid surface with cell boundarieshighlighted, or as a wireframe of cell boundaries only. Feature Edgesis a subset of Wireframe consisting of prominent edges on the surface suchas edges between cells that form a sharp angle or edges with only one adjacent cell.For these representations, you can either set a single solid color to use,as with Outline , or select a data array to use for scalar coloring (alsoknown as pseudocoloring).

I think that goes beyond what is possible with conventional shaders, especially within Daz Studio. To use such a system in Daz Studio would also be very difficult, as you would have no direct feedback as to how the shadows look, you'd have to re-render the area every time you make a small change just to see how it looks. To be perfectly honest, once you get to the point where you are literally drawing in shadows regardless of the lighting, you might as well just paint them directly onto the diffuse texture (which would probably be possible once Casual finishes his painting plugin). Also, i'm kind of having difficulty imagining how this would be used.

So I have a terrain I have created using the Blender GIS plugin. I would like to use this terrain to create a low poly art style terrain from it. What I would like to do is ideally take the average color of all the pixels on a single face and apply that average color as one solid color on that entire face. Here is the terrain I have:
