Hello, fellow District Secretaries-District Secretary-Treasurers!

Thank you for the lovely responses for my 1st reflector Q, and if you have not responded, feel free to do so!
The next question revolves around the Distinguished Officer Binder Process and the machinations of it.

Therefore, let us answer Question(s) 2:
1. Are you applying for the Distinguished District Secretary or District Secretary-Treasurer Award?
2. In reference to the 1st distinguished binder question (mentioned one line above), explain why or why not.
3. If any, what are the obstacles/personal hindrances in the distinguished District Secretary/District Secretary-Treasurer binder (award) process?

I hope to have your responses by next Sunday! Thank you for your hard work! As a past District Secretary, I am proud of the stuff that you do!

Hi Yoo Eun,

1. I am applying for the Distinguished District Secretary Award
2. Last year, as Lieutenant Governor, I applied and received the RFL Distinguished Award. Even though an award isn't necessary to affirm what Key Club has given me, I feel like applying for the Distinguished Secretary Award is a good goal to strive for as well as a good memory if I receive it.
3. One of the hardest criterion to reach for the award is to have minutes of Board meetings published within 2 weeks of the meeting. In my District, the Executive Board members are often committee chairs of major District Events that fall after a Board meeting. In my case, it's hard to manage my time between doing the minutes (which sometimes can turn out to be over 30 pages) or planning the event.

Hope that helps!

Hey Yoo,
Yes I am applying for Distinguished District Secretary. I think I have done a pretty good job so i thought I might as well turn one in and see if I did as well as I think.
personally I don't think it's very hard. The worst part will just be putting it all together and printing it all out. It would be easier if it was digital and paperless.

Hi Yoo Eun!

I will be applying for the Distinguished District Secretary Award because I believe that the award outlines the major duties of a District Secretary and receiving the award would mean that I was successful in my term. The biggest obstacle is definitely all the printing that goes into the binder.

Hi!

My administrator advised me to aim for the Distinguished Secretary
instead of Secretary-Treasurer even though my title is Secretary-
Treasurer. I'm not entirely sure what is the treasurer job in my
title. I received the RFL award, and I want to see if my hard work has
paid off like last year. However, the biggest thing that I will have
trouble is the amount of newsletter I have done and especially the
club directory. I do not know how I am going to turn it in since it's
on excel. I have remade the club directory twice and I am on the third
one. My district is experiencing difficulties when it comes to getting
the club officers' informations.

Hey Yoo Eun

Personally I will not be applying for the Distinguished District Secretary award mainly because I wasn't aware there was such an award until you sent out this email and recently school has been keeping too busy to produce a good application. Also, while I think I did a good job this year, I still wish I had done better as an expectation for myself. However, I'm rooting for every secretary that applies

Hello!

1. I will be applying for the Distinguished District Secretary/Treasurer award.
2. I am applying because I am proud of the work I have done this year
and have been encouraged by others to apply. I also feel that this
award will allow me to be a better role model for my District and give
them something to be proud of, as well.
3. I believe that the actual physical composition and compilation will
be the biggest obstacle.

Thanks so much! Have a great weekend!

Hi!

1. I most likely will not be applying for the Distinguished District Secretary award.
2. There are a couple of reasons for me to make this decision. The first is the attendance policy. I was absent for a board meeting and ICON because I had surgery and it took some time for me to recover, so I feel that hurt my chances. Also, even though I tried incredibly hard, I did not acquire the proper information to fill out a directory from my LTGs, so I did not make a directory. In terms of the award with these disadvantages, I just feel like it would be a waste of ink and paper trying to get everything printed out if I am practically guaranteed not to win, especially with how expensive ink is.
3. The hardest challenge for me probably would have been printing out all the papers, trying to get everything gathered.
