Hello Everyone!

The International Board would like to thank you for your outstanding
work over the past year and we hope that you finish your term strong!
Throughout your term you gained a wealth of invaulable knowledge that
would be a huge asset to preparing your successor for their position.
The Communications Committee would like you to answer these questions
so that we have additional resources and information to pass on so
that we can share your best ideas with your successors and other
districts to improve KCI as a whole! Thank you for everything that you
do!

The question is: What do you think are the most important items to add
in a newsletter or district mailings?

Another Question for you all is: What program(s) do you use to design
district publications?

Hi Kayla,

To newsletters: Leadership tips, articles written from an interesting angle instead of as summaries of things that LTGs already tell their clubs about all the time, and quality writing.

District mailings: Printing smaller announcements on smaller pieces of paper, especially if the paper is a different color instead of white, may help things stick out.

I don't know that it's the same in every district, but in New Jersey our secretary is responsible for compiling almost every mailing. If this question wasn't sent to the secretary reflector, I could forward it to ours.

Andre

Hey Kayla!

Our district doesn't mail out our district newsletters, we only send them out electronicly to stay green so I wouldnt be of much help for the mailing part of that question but as for newsletters: including messages from the district officers, leadership position tips and advice, experimenting with more elements and graphics than just the standard key club graphics, make eye appealing and interesting articles, and overall successful things going on in the district for fundraising or events in general would benefit any reader!
To design my district publications, I use Adobe Indesgin 5.5

Hope this helps!
