backup/recovery codes via direct grant request

Is it possible to send a recovery code via a direct grant request?

For the otp it is possible to send it via the totp parameter if the OTP Step (not to be confused with the OTP Form Step) is added to the direct grant flow. For the recovery codes however, there is only the "Recovery Authentication Code Form" Step available but no Step explicitly for direct grant.

I tried using the "Recovery Authentication Code Form" and sending the recovery code with the parameters

- recoveryCodeInput

- recovery-authn-codes

- recovery-code

nothing works. 

Is it even possible at the moment to send a recovery code with a direct grant request?
