Hello everyone

We are using custom configuration for logging and properties that are provided by keycloak itself are not enough for us. We are having separate access log files and separate log files for our extensions.

We have a bunch of quarkus.log.*,  quarkus.http.access-log.* and quarkus.http.record-request-start-time properties defined in quarkus.properties file.

Starting from keycloak 26.2 container won't start with the following error reported "The following build time options have values that differ from what is persisted".

I do not expect that log pattern, log file location and similar properties to be defined at build time. Also I don't see any information in the upgrade guide https://www.keycloak.org/docs/latest/upgrading/index.html.

Are there any ways to resolve this issue? Or maybe there are other ways to configure a logger?

Hi,

this sounds very similar to https://github.com/keycloak/keycloak/issues/39450 and should be fixed as part of Keycloak 26.2.5

Adding Quarkus properties directly is not officially supported. If you think the setup you have should be fully supported, we'll add it as a feature to Keycloak. While it is usually just wrapping the Quarkus functionality, it comes with additional tests and documentation to ensure everything works fine after upgrades.

Best,
Alexander
