Hello,

I want use Operator keycloak on a vanilla kubernetes (and not openshift cluster)
I don't have redhat license.
It seems that the quay.io/keycloak/keycloak docker image use Red Hat Enterprise Linux release 9.4 (Plow).

So, do you known if i should have a redhat licence to use this image?

Thanks for your help
Loïc

Hi,

Keycloak is using Red Hat's Universal Base Image which is freely redistributable. See https://catalog.redhat.com/software/base-images for more information. There is also this FAQ: https://developers.redhat.com/articles/ubi-faq

While I am not a lawyer, and this is not legal advice, you find sentences in there like "These Universal Base Images are freely redistributable so that anyone can deploy onto Red Hat or non-Red Hat platforms."

Best,
Alexander
