Using Keycloak as a reverse proxy for a server using openid connect auth

Hi!

I am a Keycloak newbie.

We have a server behind a firewall that talks to an API that uses openid connect authentication. At the moment we have this going through a standalone reverse proxy app that we have written ourselves- basically the proxy handles authentication, and for named servers the API is presented "without" authentication.

Since we also use Keycloak in other parts of the application, it would make sense to also use Keycloak as the reverse proxy here if possible. I have had a look at https://www.keycloak.org/server/reverseproxy but this seems to address using Keycloak _with_ rather than _as_ a reverse proxy.

So- is possible to use Keycloak as a reverse proxy that handles openid authentication to an API endpoint? If so how would this be done?
