IDP redirection and authentication flow

Hi,

Maybe I have misunderstood this, but:

Is it so that redirecting to an external IDP always “breaks” the authentication flow in the sense that no further authentications will be performed there?

I was sure that I managed before to set extra steps on a flow and they were executed after a redirection. Now, somehow, I need to use a post login flow to achieve the same.

Have I misunderstood this?
