Tips for developing Keycloak extensions

I have a few simple Keycloak extensions that I manage and I'm looking for best practices wrt development and testing.

I found https://www.keycloak.org/docs/latest/server_development/#_providers which seems to be good reference material, but doesn't suggest any particular workflow / pattern for development or test.

I found https://github.com/thomasdarimont/keycloak-extension-playground which was very handy for getting started.  However, I don't see any corresponding tools for automating tests.

Is there a good reference, from either the keycloak repo or elsewhere, on best practices for extension development and testing?

Hi Lee,

There is a testcontainers extension for Keycloak that allows writing integration tests for Keycloak in an easy way. 

Take a look at
