How am I meant to climb the high scores?

With maximum "add letters to characters" and "add words to lesson" I am getting only 60-70000 score with 110+wpm and no errors. What is going on here?

Update - 120 wpm for 71,000...hmmm. Maybe I am just too slow. I can't imagine getting twice this score somehow, though.

I've wondered this for a long, long time. Even adding punctuation/capital doesn't seem to do the trick.

I also suspect a lot of these huge scores are cheated.

I would like to hear about this too.

I've been trying to figure out how the high scores are calculated for a long time and I have a theory that it over-rewards no mistake streaks.  Your score jumps up every time you make no mistakes in a row, even if they are slower and drops down significantly when you make a mistake, even if you typed faster.

In practice, if you can get a large no mistake runs in a row and follow this up with another perfect run that is much faster you get a massive boost in score.  This profile (https://www.keybr.com/profile/i45gpsk) managed to get a top 20 score despite having an average WMP of 55, however if you look closely they played nearly every day for 7 months and have a very low mistake occurrence.  I'm betting they built up a massive no mistake run and then stacked it on a much faster run.

You're not meant to climb anything on this interface in any realistic fashion, not as long as Alex continuously sets WPM caps for practice while enabling a point system bypassed by script runners on the site.  90% of the posters here don't even know what they're really responding to or talking about, and it shows.  You're never going to see any of the real top typists amidst the scoreboard section because of its base design and requirements, we'd rather go to typeracer if we're going to be submitted on a scoreboard at all.  All you have to do is seamlessly fake your progression rate, put in terrible results and increasingly elevate to your real typing ability, or be like "Refet Atkas Bilal" and run macros for no apparent reason other than to be retarded.  On any other typing site with a top 20 scoreboard someone like "Tobias Handschin" would never see the light of day.  The High Score section is enormously misleading, and hasn't been an indicator of who the best typists on the site are since the very beginning.  The High Score section on the legacy variant of Keybr was bar and none more reliable.  You guys do realize there's a cap, right?  Two of us have already submitted videos to prove it.  Me or my colleagues would have to brutally slow ourselves down to fit on the scoreboard. Alex, for the love of God, delete that section or reform how it works.  You've got people posting the same garbage on these forums almost year after year now.

That's quite disappointing to hear. I did peruse your thread regarding the macro user in multiplayer (before it got scrubbed...). Are there other sites similar to keybr, and other than typeracer which you could recommend, solemn?

Fortunately, there's a wide variety of typing sites and games out there.  10fastfingers is another place with available tournament systems too, Ratatype and thetypingcat are relatively reliable also. "ztype" is a game you could assign preset phrases, sentences, or simply an amalgmation of characters you're trying to work on by the site or whatever you put into it, it's just a game that teaches steady acceleration.  A quick google search can render you all types of unexpected gems.  And although I've been slandering this place as of late, it's not so impaired to the degree you can't extract any benefit from it as a typist, clearly you can.  It's just muddied up by how it currently works and the lack of proper moderation doesn't help either.  I've said it for years this place has the potential to be a mainstay gold standard as a typing site, but someone is really dropping the ball.

Can confirm that it may be the minimum mistake streak that allows higher scores. I've got 75 wpm 0 error on max settings and scored just around 70k from it, where as in a previous timeframe where I was more focused on minimizing mistakes, I scored 80k from a speed of 70wpm 0 error on max settings.

With that said, I wonder why was my score not added to the list despite beating at least the lowest score on the board? Was it because I used Colemak?
