New DLAC Online track for your
online teachers!

Online and hybrid schools are emerging or expanding due to the pandemic. To help schools and districts navigate these changes successfully, we have added a new conference track to DLAC Online for June. Our Online Teacher Track offers a variety of sessions intended to address the needs of online teachers, whether they are veterans or new to online learning.

These sessions will be consecutive—never concurrent—so you can build your own conference program that meets the needs of your virtual classroom, school, or district as you consider the challenges and best practices involved in going virtual. This is a great opportunity for you to maximize those year-end PD budget dollars to improve the skills of your instructional staff.

We will continue to add more details, including session presenters and times, as they are finalized. Some of the many topics covered will be:

  • Building community in the online classroom
  • Preparing caregivers for the transition to digital
  • Engaging reluctant/struggling learners
  • Synchronous vs asynchronous strategies
  • Self-care for teachers

Visit the DLAC Online Teacher Track page for the full list of session topics and additional information about each. Of course, your teachers can also attend any other sessions listed in the DLAC 2021 Program.

We haven’t forgotten blended teachers either! Look for our announcement next week about another new track at DLAC Online for teachers adding online components to physical schools and classrooms.

In addition to the new teacher tracks, DLAC Online also has an “How to Start an Online School”  track to address the needs of administrators responsible for starting new online schools or programs.

If these or other sessions are of interest, remember that if you register 5 or more people from your school or district at one time, you will receive the group discount of 10% per person.
