We are switching to Chromebooks next year and our Math and Science teachers are concerned about inputing equations and things. We've looked at Equatio but aren't sure if we love it or if it is worth the cost.

What do others use?
Thanks,

Equat IO is free for teachers and then you would pay for student access if you need to. They used to be g(Math) Add-on. Students get to use it

Equat IO is now Free for Teachers - Install Here - Form to get Free Access for RWG and Equat IO
At the bottom of the form enter in District info. Just provide your teachers the info that they need at the bottom of the form. In my District I am that contact.

We use some of their other products too:
Read and Write for Google is also Free for teachers you just have to sign up.

Hope this helps!
Text Help is a great company to work with with Teachers! Usually we get free access for teachers, and they charge for students.

Some of our teachers use https://www.desmos.com/ and https://www.geogebra.org/

I chatted with a Math teacher turned Tech Integrationist last year to get this exact question answered, and he shared some awesome stuff. Feel free to explore this Google Doc of notes I took and shared with our Math teachers as a result of this meeting: Student Centered Math Instruction

We also implement IXL Math in grades 5-8, which is awesome on the Chromebooks.

I hope that helps!
