Summer Camp 2012
Digital Literacy: The Possibilities are Infinite
Summer is rapidly approaching as the mild winter seemed to accelerate the progression of this school year. Forward motion is also a theme impacting the K-12 education landscape which continues to shift at record speed.
When thoughtfully implemented, mobile technologies challenge and empower students, teachers, administrators and entire learning communities. The Pew Internet Project’s research shows that 95% of all teens ages 12-17 are now online. We know that younger students are following a similar technology use track.
How are we as educators meeting the promise of digital learning and literacy?
Join us on Tuesday, June 12, 2012 at South Washington County Schools for Summer Camp 2012 -- Digital Literacy: The Possibilities are Infinite.
Through content creation and collaboration, our learners will exponentially accelerate their learning through different social and cultural contexts. At this event, teachers, curriculum leaders, technology integrationists and administrators throughout Central Minnesota will be provided opportunities to learn how to engage all learners with innovative techniques and best practice. New curricular authoring tools will be demonstrated and educators will share how they have accelerated the digital literacy of their learners. (Continuing Education Units will be available.)
