I know it is not as tied to SIS systems, but many teachers will use Flipgrid or Mote at the start of a term to have kids correctly pronounce their name for not just the teacher using the SIS, but also for other students, paras, etc. working in those rooms.
It is sooooooo important that we pronounce kids names correctly. Reminded me of a video a Keynote speaker I listened to recently shared called Facudo the Great:
https://youtu.be/s8FheuSE7w4 Anyway, the Keynote speaker had a difficult name for people to pronounce correctly. Her whole message was on identity and how you name is so closely tied to it, so that when people (intentionally or unintentionally) mispronounce your name it robs you of your true self. The Keynote was part of a virtual conference for 4 districts. At the end of the Keynote, one of the district's superintendents came on the screen to thank the speaker, and after hearing her say her name numerous times over the course of 45 minutes, the superintendent mispronounced her name... TWICE! So many were offended by that, and I felt embarressed even though it was not even my superintendent.
