Stream Lookup Improvements

I am considering making an improvement to the stream lookup to support

* Between style lookups

* >

* <

* >=

* <=

* !=

Would this be a welcomed addition?

Would it be preferred as an enhancement to the existing step or as a new step that evolved from stream lookup?

If no feedback comes in, we will probably develop it as a separate step and publish to the marketplace.

this is welcomed, looks like it’s Christmas time J

 

Here are related cases: PDI-14024, PDI-591

My gut feeling is: include this into the existing step, have test cases for the old and new behavior to ensure it is fully backward compatible and we have no performance regressions.

 

We are actually working on guidelines for community contributions, but they are not public, yet. I’ll send you a note with more details via direct mail.

+1 to updating existing step. Lots of steps doing the same thing is a backwards step imho
