Big News!! BCA Meetings Return to In-Person!
Tomorrow, February 8th, 7pm ,the Buckman Community Association returns to in person meetings.
We will be at Hinson Church (20th and SE Salmon). Please enter on Salmon Street at the ground level. There is a keypad and the CODE will be there.
We will also attempt a hybrid connection using our same long-standing ZOOM Link https://pdx.zoom.us/j/97489845733 but as we've never been in the room, for tomorrow at least no guarantees on the connection.
Please understand, as this will all be new for us tomorrow, and we have not been in the room yet...have never used the keypad, and our church liaison is away this week......so this will be our first time and as we all know........anything can happen! :))
But it will be good to see people again!
Our agenda for tomorrow is mostly to get the hybrid option troubleshooted and meet in person again...BUT we will have a presentation about the results of all the bad air we are breathing in Buckman due to nearby diesel fumes.
We've reached out to Central City Concern to see when they plan to get together about the Good Neighbor Agreement on Lolo Pass, and we are trying to get a copy of their GNA with the Hazelton Neighborhood Association for CCC's "Blackburn Center" so we can review it tomorrow. Recent news about Blackburn Center showed drug dealers very active on the TriMet platforms just outside...of course we want to ensure that is the not the case by Lolo Pass.
GOODS NEWS!!! We have been accepted to host another Summer Movie this Summer in Colonel Summers Park!! We will need to fundraise for this...so please get out your wallets as this event and the Buckman Picnic scheduled for August 4th need financial support and both are tax-deductible!

Also....our new Board member, Connor, just let us know he is moving from Buckman, and will turn his attention to his new neighborhood so we have a space opening up on the Board.....for one of you!! Thank you, Connor!!
