Scout Lot (NE 28th & NE Glisan)

Hi 👋🏼 All,

FYI,

Scout us not doing their job of maintaining their former food cart lot.

My neighbors who live next to it said that trailer has a homeless person living in it.
Probably did not get permission to be there I’m guessing.

There have been numerous homeless people suffering from mental breakdowns yelling over there morning, noon and night.

That couple obviously are not doing anything with the lot now.

Perhaps 🤔 this can be on Novembers agenda.

I’ll take a look at it tomorrow and go from there.

All,

I have heard back from the 28/Glisan lot manager...here's what's transpired this month:

10/18 I sent text asking them to look over the texts and the date of the texts and the

          commitments made.  The graffiti has yet to be addressed and there are still 

           squatters that have more junk than I can remove. 

10/24 Their response: "we haven't heard back from the city after our initial graffiti 

            submission, so I followed up again yesterday.  We also had the cops kick out the people

            living there, but it's tough to keep them from ever coming back.  And just so you're aware, we're 

            in the process of transition management of this lot to another group who has plans to 

             more fully develop it over the fall/winter.  So hopefully it's in better shape soon.

10/24 I asked if cops kicked them out were plans made to remove their stuff

10/24 response: ?"A guy from the city(we got a letter about it) said he's going to go by today

           and let us know what needs to be removed, and then we'll get that out."

10/27 I reported on pdxreporter

10/31 I sent them a photo showing the garbage is still there.

11/3 I sent them photos showing the garbage is still there.  

11/3 They responded: " We are working with the new manager on timing and cleaning of the site

         with putting up a temporary fence. If we clean it too far in advance of the fence, it will just

         get dirty again."

That's the update...
