The SE Uplift Board of Directors invites you to join us in welcoming Portland City Commissioner Carmen Rubio as a special guest at the next board meeting on Monday, December 4th. Commissioner Rubio is making progress in affordable housing, permits, climate resilience and business relief. Rubio wants to prioritize our time together answering questions from our inner southeast Portland community. In the interest of time, we invite all our neighbors to provide questions in advance via the link below, and we will do our best to get as many of your questions answered.
Commissioner Rubio recently lead a resolution to create a single permitting entity by July 1, 2024 and worked with the Mayor to expedite $19.9 million towards Portland Public Schools this month. The commissioner’s portfolio includes the Portland Housing Bureau, Bureau of Planning & Sustainability, Bureau of Development Services, and Prosper Portland. The Commissioner's priorities include the housing crisis, economic recovery, parks and natural resources, climate action, reimagining public safety, and building belonging within our communities.
Visit the Office of Commissioner Carmen Rubio to learn more, and attend the December meeting to hear responses to your questions. Our meetings are always open to public attendance. Hope to see you there!
