Hello Kerns NA Board,
As you may have seen - we have been soliciting suggestions for our holiday party tonight at 6:30.
We did get a few suggestions on our website. I have pasted them on a page on our website and also below. 
After reviewing the options Elizabeth has suggested we go ahead and meet at Gorges Beer Company (formerly Ankeny Tap and Table). I am open to that idea but we'd also like to hear more feedback. 
Would people be up for meeting at Gorges Beer Co at 6:30 tonight? Or what is your suggestion?
If we can get some more consensus then we can announce it on our channels and spread the word. And also we can let Gorges Beer Co owner Travis know and perhaps we can arrange some extra things with him.
I know this is last minute -but we didn't get much feedback. There's still time to plan today - and meet tonight at 6:30 and celebrate!

B) Gorges Beer Co. Josh, our bartender, has been suggesting we try to do more with Kerns NA and I think it’s a great idea. I’m not sure in what way, but we’d love to host gatherings of any kind! Holiday themed with special food and drink, sports game watches, or just regular social gatherings or happy hours. If there’s any way to work together in the coming months we’d love to do it!

– Love this! I was thinking of ways to do a once a month gathering at different locations, kind of like a meet your neighbors events. if folks think this could be helpful, I’d love to start piloting this in early in 2026. 

C) Laurelthirst Public House Scott Law Band is playing free 6-9pm We could meet there at 6:30! If it’s too crowded or loud we could move over to Migration Brewery just a couple of blocks down

I think Jay has a good idea. I know all the KNA wants to celebrate the holidays, with our friends and families. A holiday party is a wonderful idea, but maybe we should plan it out a little more. That way we can announce to our Kerns neighbors when and where it will be. I'm pet sitting, as usual, and the dog has to take seizure medicine at 8:30pm. I'm happy to pop out and see folks at Gorges, or I'll see everyone at the next meeting. I'[m down for whatever, It's always nice to get away from the pets for even an hour!

True we're not getting a lot of traction.
Since I live close to Gorges Beer I'm planning to be there at 6:30. If anyone else appears it'll be great. 
If not I'll nurse a drink and enjoy it.

I also will not be able to make it tonight but have positive updates from the PSU students who are working on the safety study between 28th and 20th on Burnside!
