Hi all, unfortunately TKL had to cancel having a neighborhood walk.

What do folks think about inviting D3 councilors to come to our June meeting and/or schedule a neighborhood walk soon? If ok, I’ll reach back out!

Subject: Councilor Koyama Lane Kerns Neighborhood Association Visit

Good morning Andrea,

Unfortunately, Councilor Koyama Lane is no longer able to attend the Kerns Neighborhood Association event at Rainbow Road on Monday 5/5 1 pm. I will be sending over that cancelation shortly.

Thank you for your help in IDing a time

In an attempt to respect the councillors' time, I'm wondering if we could do a joint
meeting with Kernside.   I'm not sure exactly what the intended subject matter is...
my thoughts are that we could create a list of questions/issues/ideas and have a presentation
prepared and discuss with them.

Perhaps the post card project would be a good vehicle to get input from all.  With that said, business owners,
according to our bylaws can/are KNA members as individuals...(I don't know of ANYone that has requested
in writing to be a member of KNA )  If we do use the post cards to solicit information,
I hope we include the business owners.   Thank you for your thoughts Andrea!

I appreciate that suggestion Rebecca. However, I think we should do it ourselves and try to stay rooted as a neighborhood association. We represent everyone who lives here, not just business owners. It is good for us to build up an agenda and priorities that represent the renters, home owners, and people of Kerns.

I know we are in a lot of alignment with Kernside so far but I believe it’s worthwhile to keep doing things by and for our neighborhood.

Billionaires may have lots of money but they still have only one vote. Power is in the vote.

Totally agree, no disagreement. Like mentioned, we represent more than business, and would definitely love the post card project to incorporate input from all.

Are there any postcard next steps with that we can help with ahead of the May 16th meeting?

Should we create a draft of a survey?
