Good afternoon,
Join Team Councilor Tiffany Koyama Lane on Monday, 5/19 at 8:30 AM for a Transportation Double-Header! Come to one or both:
Walk & Bike to School & Work Week Kickoff (RSVP to 8:30 AM Kickoff here!)
When: 8:30 a.m.
Where: The steps of Portland City Hall (1221 SW 4th Ave)
Who, Why, What: We want YOU there! We will kick off with a Walk & Bike to School & Work Week Proclamation from Mayor Keith Wilson. There will be friends, donuts, and even fun mascots! There is a lot happening in the world and in the city right now. Let’s come together to celebrate walking and biking to school and work, and then share an actionable vision for making our roads safer for everyone.
Vision Zero Resolution Hearing: Vision Zero Resolution Hearing
When: 9:30 a.m. Just before 9:30 a.m., we will head in together to City Hall
Where: Council Chambers for the Transportation & Infrastructure Committee (inside City Hall).
Who, Why, What: We want YOU there! Councilor Koyama Lane will be bringing forward a Resolution on Vision Zero (eliminating traffic deaths and serious injuries). We know that walking/rolling, biking, and transit are the MOST joyful, healthy, connecting, and cost-efficient ways to get around our city. Yet ten years into Portland’s commitment to Vision Zero, we still have a long way to go to ensure that walking/rolling/biking are safe, attractive, and convenient for everyone. We can get there, together.
With Gratitude,
Team Councilor Tiffany Koyama Lane
