Title: Demystifying the Embedded Linux Graphics Stack: An Easy Introduction for Beginners

Abstract:
Memory to Photos, whether it's a moving picture or a game, Linux's graphics is a complex
stack involving various components in both the Kernel and the userspace. Getting my first
pixel to see on an LVDS screen was a super exiting journey. This talk will walk through
my journey about getting started with Linux graphics based on my recent work for Allwinner
A133 display engine support [1] and my on-going effort to get Imaginations Technologies
GPU GE8300 in the upstream kernel.

Ever heard about DRM, GPU, MIPI, Khronos, OpenGLES, Vulkan, KMS, Weston, HDMI, framebuffer,
Mesa3D and wondered what all these? This talk will detail the basic components of Linux
Graphics stack and how it's layered.
