Bangalore Linux kernel Meetup

Hello Kernel developers and Enthusiasts,

This is Santosh Shukla from AMD. I am a part of AMD's Linux Kernel team in Bangalore.

I got to know from my fellow kernel developers that there used to be regular kernel meetups in the past before the global pandemic. Since a lot of us have moved back to Bangalore, I wonder if it makes sense to resume the regular kernel meetups as before.

 To get the ball rolling, we at AMD would like to host the next kernel meetup. Tentative dates : 22nd July or 29th July, both Saturdays. Please let us know which dates would be preferable. Based on the voting [1] on "preferred" date for the meet-up, I will create an event in eventbrite for registration and also follow up with details of the venue. We can solicit proposals for talks once the date and the venue is finalized.

Yes it does make absolute sense, I can help as well.

I realised that options are Thursdays, would you mind if we have this
on a Friday or Saturday instead?

Oops sorry I looked up the wrong calendar, this is Sat so either works for me!

So Far I got 17 responses, We're hoping participation around 50 people for the meetup, I will wait votes outcome till wednesday.

  Sorry for the delay, I am working on finalizing the venue and logistics and soon I'll share the updates including event registration and call for proposal. As of now event date is 29th July.

Thanks a lot for sharing details about Linux Kernel Meet Up.

This is Ritesh Prajapati working as Technical Project Manager into System Level Solutions Pvt Ltd, Anand, Gujarat.

We are working on Linux Kernel, Device Drivers, OpenWRT, Yocto and other Linux related projects since last 10+ years and developed good Linux based products and service-based projects as well.

We would like to attend this kernel meet up but have one query that is it possible to attend virtually as well or only required to attend physically because we are basically from Gujarat location.

Let me know your feedback on this.

Some of the talks (or abstracts) shared by other participants in the other email thread are very interesting. 

I know it's not a virtual event but maybe recording the session (if possible) and sharing it later would be very helpful for the people like us who are now not living in Bangalore.
